La investigación ha mostrado que las TIC son un medio efectivo para ampliar las oportunidades educativas, pero la mayoría de los profesores no usan esta clase de tecnología como una herramienta cognitiva que ayude a mediar la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de contenidos específicos. De ahí resultó pertinente llevar a cabo una revisión reflexiva al cuerpo de conocimiento de una muestra de la literatura, con el propósito de hacer explícito los factores que condicionan la implementación de innovaciones educativas potenciadas por las TIC. Se utilizó la técnica de análisis de contenido, encontrándose tres factores interrelacionados: competencia y confianza del profesor en la innovación educativa; demanda de la innovación educativa; y contexto de implementación de la innovación educativa.
