Evolution of the concept of function in response to problems of humanity
Main Article Content
This study is based on Stephen Toulmin model to track the evolution of the concept of function, from the ancient epoch to when the concept of function acquires the status of mathematical object, passing through the middle ages, and identifying the problems that gave rise to various conceptual variations that led to the concept as it is currently known.
